Anna Paquin was born in New Zealand and raised in Canada. She is a Canadian-New Zealander who has been in movies such as X-Men, X-Men, and Fly Away Home. It was not her intention to be an actress however, fate decided she was going to. Following her breakthrough, she was approached by numerous firms. However, she decided to focus on her education and declined any offer. But, when she reached the age of 14 her return to the film industry by taking on roles in the films 'Jane Eyre' and 'Fly away home. Then, in 2000, she played the powerful mutant 'Rogue' in 'X-Men,' the first of the 'X-Men' film series which made her famous worldwide. In X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand in X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand, she reprised her role of 'Rogue. In addition, she made a small-screen appearance, Elaine Goodale in Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee', for the first time, her first Oscar nomination was announced. Soon after, she was flooded by requests to be a part of television shows. The roles she played included 'True Blood,' 'Flack', and many others.
